Submit a Nomination

What You'll Need

To nominate someone for the Donald J. Johnston Award, you will need to submit:

  • a formal letter of nomination including details about the ways in which the nominee has contributed to the profession. Please use the Award Criteria as a guide
  • a minimum of two letters of support for the nomination
  • a current résumé or biography of nominee
  • nominee's written consent (.PDF) to be considered for public recognition
  • current resumes or biographies of nominator and supporters

About the Nomination Process

All nominations will be vetted by "Award Committee" and a pre-selected short-list of eligible nominees will be brought to the "Award Selection Committee" for consideration, a minimum of one month prior to the spring meeting of the Board of Directors.

The "Award Selection Committee" will consist of all current FPSC Board Directors, the current CEO of FPSC and, Don Johnston (subject to the annual approval of succeeding FPSC Board of Directors). This committee will be charged with the task of choosing an annual award recipient from the pre-selected shot-list of nominees brought to them by the "Award Committee".
