ANN BOWMAN Vice President, Communications & Corporate Relations
Ann Bowman joined the Financial
Planners Standards Council (FPSC) as Director of Communications
in January 1999. She brought to her current position of Vice
President Communications and Corporate Relations more than
10 years experience in the public affairs functions of three
of Canada's largest publicly profiled corporations: The Molson
Companies Limited, Ford of Canada and Canadian National. Ms.
Bowman also has several years experience as a public relations
advisor for smaller not-for-profit and volunteer-based organizations
and as editor of a national business magazine. She holds an
HonBA in English Literature from the University of Toronto
and a three-year Honours Diploma in Public Relations from
Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto. She
is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators
and the Canadian Public Relations Society. Ms. Bowman directs
FPSC's efforts in the areas of issues management, stakeholder/public/media
relations and internal/external communications and marketing
programs.
