JOHN WICKETT Vice President, Standards & Certification
With a PhD in psychology and psychometrics from the University of Western Ontario, and 10 years of experience working with different Canadian certifying and licensing bodies, Dr. John Wickett brings extensive knowledge and experience to the role of Vice President, Standards & Certification. John assumed this role in September 2007.
As Vice President, Standards & Certification, John guides FPSC's ongoing evaluation of CFP competencies, standards of practice and ethics. John works with his internal team, external experts and program auditors to ensure the continued relevance of FPSC's certification methods.
Working with FPSC as a consultant since 1999, John has already played an instrumental role in many aspects of CFP certification, including the 2005/06 Competency Analysis project, which resulted in the Certified Financial Planner Professional Competency Profile. Additionally, he has provided FPSC with expert guidance in the areas of question development and statistical analysis for the CFP Examination.
CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and are certification marks owned outside the U.S. by Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB). Financial Planners Standards Council is the marks licensing authority for the CFP marks in Canada, through agreement with FPSB.
