FPSC Strategic Plan

After a little more than a decade...

FPSC now licenses more than 17,000 individuals working in every sector of the financial services industry across Canada with the right to use the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) marks. As the largest identifiable body of financial planners in this country, these individuals and the CFP® standards they uphold are defining the financial planning profession.

Building on the solid foundation of rigorous relevant standards and a growing community of professionals committed to serving the best interests of their clients and their profession, FPSC is stepping it up. With the new strategic plan outlined on these pages and the support of all our stakeholders, FPSC and CFP® certification will lead financial planning in Canada to recognition as a bona fide profession.
