CFP BRAND AMBASSADORS PARTICIPATE IN 3RD SEASON OF TALK RADIO CAMPAIGN

FPSC Brings Einstein, Picasso, Forbes and CFP experts
into the Financial Planning Conversation

Toronto, February 15, 2006 - In its third year of a highly successful campaign, Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) made another converged media buy of radio and transit advertising this RRSP season to help Canadians take the next step in their financial affairs. This year's seasonal campaign continues to borrow inspiration from the likes of Oscar Wilde, Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso and others of notable fame to inspire Canadians to tune in and talk with the real experts — CFP® (Certified Financial Planner®) professionals — who will be on talk radio shows in seven markets across Canada.

On February 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th, CFP professionals hit the airwaves in Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver respectively (one date per city). Some shows can be heard live online and accessed at www.cfp-ca.org — where the Schedule of Radio Talk Shows can also be accessed.

The radio shows are supported by 30-second commercials running on all sister stations and by bus backs advertisements in Toronto.

While financial planning is a year-long and life-long affair, Ann Bowman, FPSC Vice President, Communications & Corporate Relations says: "Our goal is to remind Canadians of the value of life-long financial planning as guided by a professional financial planner at a time when personal finance is top-of-mind. The success of the last two years has made it clear to us that Canadians value the advice CFP professionals offer.

"The CFP professionals we chose represent a community of nearly 17,000 individuals in Canada who hold this credential. They embody the CFP brand and we are delighted to bring their expertise, integrity and experience to the public at a time when Canadians have important financial planning questions on their mind. It's a terrific opportunity to continue to build our brand awareness," adds Bowman.

In Canada, Johnston was instrumental in the creation of FPSC in 1995. FPSC has grown to be the second largest organization in the CFP Council. There are now more CFP professionals per capita in Canada than any other country - with more than 14,000 CFP professionals working in every segment of the financial services industry and servicing Canadians in virtually every province. An additional 14,000 professionals are currently working towards their CFP designation.

This campaign is part of FPSC's comprehensive and ongoing public awareness marketing campaign that also includes: year-round advertising (print and electronic); a comprehensive website; consumer publications and other information resources; media relations; and more.

Marketing Agencies: Richard Clewes of Clique developed the concept and Michael Walker of Walker Media handled the media buy. Media relations for FPSC is handled by Eileen Chadnick of Chadnick Communications.

This year, FPSC marks the ten-year anniversary of CFP certification in Canada.
